Deep processed glass
Jan 30, 2018

The normal deep processed glass includes Laminated Glass, Insulating glass, Tempered glass and Coated glass.
Laminated glass is a type of safety glass. It is structured like a "sandwich" with a transparent or colored organic material between the two or more layers of glass that holds the glass sheets firmly together. Therefore, even if the laminated glass is broken, there will be no debris splashing and hurting. The intermediate film has good strength and toughness, and plays a good safety role. For example, in the event of a violent crash, the car's laminated windshield prevents drivers and passengers from being thrown from the windshield, and these soft organic materials can also reduce the impact of the human head. In addition, increasing the thickness and number of layers of the glass enables the laminated glass to have bulletproof, explosion-proof and anti-theft properties which enable the glass becomes a special glass for special windows. Of course, the laminated glass also has good sound insulation effect and effectively reduces noise (generally reducing noise by 35 to 40 decibels). It is widely used in airport offices, waiting halls and the places where sound insulation is required.

An aluminum isolation cabinet is placed on the middle of the two glass sheets, and then they are bonded together by a bonding material, and a gap of 6 mm or 12 mm is formed between the two sheets of glass, which is an insulating glass(also refered as insulated glass). The insulating properties of the insulating glass are very good, and the insulating property of the 12 mm thick insulating glass can be compared with the 100 mm thick concrete wall. Therefore, the glass curtain wall of the building and the large glass window should use insulating glass to reduce the heating energy consumption. Insulating glass also has good sound insulation. In addition to using flat glass to make the insulating glass, it is also possible to use tempered glass, laminated glass, heat-reflecting film glass, heat-absorbing glass, etc. as the original sheet to make high-grade insulating glass with various functions for important parts of the super high-rise buildings, such as the sightseeing hall. In addition, the train's air-conditioned car and subway window glass are tempered insulating glass to improve the performance of heat insulation and sound insulation.

Tempered glass is the most commonly used glass deep-processed product. Windshields, windowpanes for vehicles, trains, etc., glass doors and partitions for high-end hotels, glass windows and many glass curtain walls use tempered glass. This is because the strength of tempered glass is 3 to 5 times that of flat glass, and it is also good for rapid cooling and rapid heat resistance. It is small granular after being broken and does not cause great damage to people, so it is called safety glass. The production of tempered glass is very simple. After cutting, edging or punching the flat glass, it is sent to a tempering furnace above 650 °C for heating, and then quenched by cold blowing to form permanent compressive stress on the glass surface to make the strength Greatly improved. This is tempered glass. Once the tempered glass is made, it can no longer to be cut, otherwise it will be crushed.

Coated glass is also called reflective glass. Coated glass refers to the coating of one or more layers of metal, alloy or metal compound film on the surface of the glass to change the optical properties of the glass to meet certain requirements. According to the different characteristics of the products, coated glass can be divided into the following categories: heat reflective glass, low-emissivity glass, Low-E, conductive film glass and so on.
